Truth Matters
Truth Matters is an occasional series of leaflets published by Reform addressing issues of importance for the understanding of the church today.
Reform is a network of Anglican Evangelicals committed to reforming the life, thought and practice of the Church of England according to the Bible. Our aim is to win the nation for Christ. Copies of these leaflets and a list of other publications in this series are available from:

Each leaflet is 10 pence. Postage is £1 per 20. There is also a little Truth Matters sign that can be supplied at £2.
At present there are ten leaflets published. Some of these are available as Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files in their published format.
The author alone is responsible for the contents of the leaflet. All these leaflets may be copied freely.
Theology
- How Can I Be Sure? (

This leaflet aims to help Christians who struggle with assurance of their salvation by showing how our confidence rests on the nature and work of God and not ourselves and dealing with some common objections. Gives suggestions for further reading.
- Election and Predestination (

These two doctrines have caused much controversy. This leaflet explains what they are, how they are an essential part of the Biblical picture of God’s rule over his creation and why they are a source of assurance and hope for the Christian. Gives suggestions for further reading.
- Genesis and Creation
A brief exposition by a professor of science of the important themes in the early chapters of Genesis, and describing some possible points of view on current scientific theories of creation origins taken by evangelicals.
- Why then the law? Christ as the fulfilment of the Old Testament
A leaflet looking at how Christ’s work on this earth affects the role of the Old Testament laws in Christian living today. Has particular relevance in light of the current debate on the Bible’s stance on homosexuality. Gives suggestions for further reading.

A leaflet looking at the account of Adam and Eve’s creation and fall in Genesis 1-3 to understand God’s intention for human sexuality. It addresses current developments in the debate with the liberals, and the implications for Christians today. With suggestions for further reading..
- The Role of Women in the Local Church (

This leaflet outlines briefly the Bible’s teaching on the role of women, particularly looking at Jesus’ attitude in the gospels and relevant passages in Paul’s letters to do with the differing roles of the sexes.
